Resurrection radio has been established since 1984, and specializes in the sale, restoration and repair of vintage radios and gramophones.
Formerly of Chapel Street Prahran, we are now located in our new store at 203 High Street Ashburton. We carry an extensive and ever-changing range of valve radios, gramaphones, telephones, turntables, valve amps, transistors and parts.
Our stock consists of examples from the "dawn" of broadcast radio in the 1920's, through the deco bakelite era of the 30's, up to the coloured "retro" sets of the 50's. We adhere to strict government laws regarding electrical safety, so rest assured that all our restorations are ISO tested and guarranteed.
All radios have been fully restored and tested in our on-site workshop and carry a full 12 month warranty.
Our service department can attend to all repairs including the impossible repair on all vintage wireless sets, and can supply neccessary valves or spare parts to suit. We do complete repairs to most turntables including all stylus's/cartridges and servicing and of course anything valve.
Whether you have a small plastic mantel radio or a floor standing timber console, we can perform the smallest repairs up to the most major restoration, including timber cabinet re-finishing or polishing. We use Australia's leading timber polisher and also Australia's leading bakelite repairer.
Resurrection Radio carries good stock of Audio Valves, with major brands like Sovtek, Electro Harmonix, Edicron and Svetlana being available. We stock thousands of NOS, used and new valves including those rare hard to find tubes. We specialise in sourcing the correct valve for the audiophile, musician or the hobbiest.
Types include EL34, 6L6, 6V6, 12AX7 and EL84. In some cases there is more than one brand to choose from for a given type, we can advise which valve would best suit your application.
For audio or guitar amplifiers, there is bound to be a valve for the sound you require. Please note that our 'stock' list on our webpage is 5 years out of date and the prices are no longer current. We apologise if that causes any inconvenience, we are working towards updating it.
Resurrection Radio is now located in the "geographical centre" of Melbourne at 203 High Street Ashburton. We are within close proximity of the South Eastern Freeway and there is an abundance of convenient parking in the area.
Orders can be placed via email, but we do recommend that details of credit cards be phoned or faxed through in the interest of your security. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Bank cheques and money orders.
Collection can be arranged from our Ashburton Store or we can mail or courier your order to you.
